So my first trip to SSRT will not be my last! Especially since its only $17 per year.

It took me 3 hours to get there from Philadelphia on Friday and
after the three of us met up we grabbed lunch and our permits and hit the trails and rode for 32 miles Friday afternoon.

The coolest part Friday was the tunnel because the humidty was high and there was very light on and off showers but the fog in the tunnel only allowed you to see about 15 feet in front of you if that. That was very very weird especially since I was in front and I couldn't see where I was going and had no idea where the tunnel went! We had no idea how long the tunnel was until the next day when ironically you could see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm not thrilled with heights, I'm not terrified but the viaduct has caused me at times to not be able to fall asleep at night just for the fact of crossing it. It is 110' down to the river, there is only one railing and its easily one football field long, maybe longer. I still crossed it and it is really cool!

Saturday there was a total of 8 of us and we ended up covering 92 miles on Saturday. The only trail we used more than once was the main trailhead. Other than that we never rode the same trail all day.

I headed home on Sunday and one guy left Saturday night but the rest of them went back on Sunday and rode another 40 miles. There is plenty of riding there and most importantly we had a great time with some great friends and nobody got hurt and no equipment failed or got broken.

Awesome weekend and we all agreed to go back by fall to do it again!
